Firdavs Abdukhalikov: Our Center represents the spiritual awakening of Uzbekistan, standing as a vivid symbol of our nation’s loyalty to its roots, its history, and the eternal legacy of its great ancestors

TASHKENT, November 12. /Dunyo IA/. Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director of the Centre of Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan, shared his views with the Dunyo Information Agency correspondent on the significance of the International Congress "Spiritual Heritage and Enlightenment in Central Asia: A Common Past – A Common Future" held in Tashkent:

"We have brought to life the portraits of our great ancestors through the use of artificial intelligence avatars. Visitors have watched these displays with boundless excitement and admiration. Every guest, regardless of nationality, instinctively seeks to hear their own language. When they discover and hear their native tongue, they are filled with joy. This is not merely about interpreting our great figures; it is also a profound demonstration of respect for their languages and cultures.

This remarkable achievement became possible thanks to the visionary leadership and initiatives of our esteemed President. The project for our Center was approved and, even before its full completion, the Head of State visited several times, each visit marked by new ideas, directives, and initiatives. Every one of those initiatives carried within it fresh beginnings, new perspectives, and forward-looking plans.

Today, as we observe the astonishment, enthusiasm, and sincere admiration of our visitors, we realize how truly right our President was. The idea of reviving our great ancestors through interactive, digital technologies—allowing people to engage with them as if in real conversation, to sense their era, and to feel their presence—has proven to be profoundly meaningful.

Even though we have a structured exhibition program, guests—especially international experts—recognize that what they see is the embodiment of the President’s fruitful and visionary ideas. The exhibitions, such as "Pre-Islamic Civilizations," "The First Renaissance," "The Second Renaissance," "Uzbekistan in the 20th Century," and "New Uzbekistan – New Renaissance," along with our architectural achievements and the creative identity of New Uzbekistan’s school of innovation, all serve as a symbol of our nation’s scientific and spiritual potential.

Visitors repeatedly ask how such a magnificent initiative emerged and who inspired such extraordinary ideas. We always express our deepest gratitude to the President, whose foresight and wisdom gave rise to this grand center — one that far exceeded all expectations. To be honest, our guests are left in awe.

Recently, the grand opening ceremony of the International Congress took place, and our first session was met with the highest praise. The successful realization of the President’s far-sighted ideas has truly been a blessing for us all.

Back in 2017, standing at the United Nations podium, our Head of State shared these very concepts and initiatives. At the time, some believed, some doubted. Yet today, eight years later, during the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly, these ideas have come to life in the form of this magnificent center—a tribute to the rich scientific, cultural, and spiritual legacy of our ancestors.
