Uzbekistan ships $36.5 million in cherry exports to 11 countries over five months

TASHKENT, July 4. /Dunyo IA/. In January–May 2026, Uzbekistan exported about 16.8 thousand tons of sweet cherries to 11 foreign countries for a total amount of $36.5 million, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the National Statistical Committee, the export volume decreased by 4.1 thousand tons compared to the same period in 2025.
Russia remains the primary market for Uzbek sweet cherries, with 11.7 thousand tons of products delivered during the reporting period, accounting for nearly 70% of total exports. Shipment volumes reached 2.6 thousand tons to Kyrgyzstan, 2 thousand tons to Kazakhstan, 135.3 tons to Belarus, and 116.7 tons to the UAE. Other countries accounted for approximately 140 tons of supplies.
According to analysts, the export of fresh produce remains one of the dynamic sectors of Uzbekistan's foreign trade, while expanding the geography of shipments contributes to strengthening the position of Uzbek agricultural products in international markets.
