WASHINGTON, October 27. /Dunyo IA/.  With the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan and the “MEYOS” Furniture and Woodworking Industry Association, companies “AIKO”, “IHLOS Furniture” and “Yassi” participated in the international furniture and interior goods exhibition “High Point Market – 2026”, held in the state of North Carolina, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, “High Point Market” has been held since 1909 and is considered one of the world's largest trade platforms for the furniture industry. The exhibition takes place twice a year, brings together around 2,000 manufacturers and brands, and its total area exceeds 1 million square meters. Event is attended by an average of 75,000 industry representatives from more than 100 countries.

A separate exposition was organized for the Uzbek companies in the international “Global Sourcing Pavilion” of the “Suites at Market Square” exhibition complex. “AIKO” presented modern furniture for home and outdoor spaces, “IHLOS Furniture” showcased sets for hotels, bedrooms and dining rooms, while “Yassi” exhibited ergonomic furniture for restaurants and offices.

During the exhibition, wholesale buyers, designers and representatives of companies from the United States and other countries acquainted themselves with the quality, design, production capabilities, and prices of Uzbek products. The American participants showed particular interest in outdoor furniture, modern interior solutions and office equipment.

Separate presentations and B2B negotiations were held, focusing on the competitiveness of products in various price segments, the manufacture of furniture to individual orders, and delivery conditions to the American market.

To work out practical export issues, the Uzbek side also held consultations with representatives of the diaspora and relevant specialists in the United States. Delivery procedures, customs clearance, import duties, transport expenses and market entry strategies for the American market were discussed with customs brokers, declaration experts and logistics specialists.

Meetings with local legal and consulting firms focused on US regulatory requirements for imported furniture, certification, labelling, and technical compliance. Following the negotiations, agreements were reached to deliver samples of Uzbek products to the United States for the necessary testing and verification against technical and safety standards.

Furthermore, opportunities for the continuous promotion of Uzbek furniture in North America were discussed with American importers, distributors, and retail chain representatives. Specifically, options for establishing trading houses and showrooms for “AIKO” and “IHLOS Furniture” products, utilizing warehousing facilities and organizing sales through local online platforms were considered.

In parallel, negotiations are ongoing with fellow compatriots permanently residing in the United States and Canada regarding the conclusion of dealership agreements to promote and distribute Uzbek furniture across North America.

During the visit, entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan also studied the experience of leading American furniture brands, their distribution systems, and modern trading methodologies, including product design approaches, packaging, marketing and after-sales service.

Future endeavours will focus on delivering trial shipments, adapting products to the requirements of the American market, formalizing dealership agreements, and establishing permanent sales channels. Participation in the “High Point Market” allowed Uzbek manufacturers to directly present their products to professional buyers and determine promising avenues for export cooperation.
