TOKYO, November 2. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Yohei Higashida, Director General of the Energy Project Finance Department at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The participants reviewed the progress of joint projects, current issues, and new opportunities for cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the outcomes of JBIC’s recent delegation visit to Uzbekistan.

The parties also discussed attracting Japanese investment to priority sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy, implementing promising projects, and expanding financial cooperation.

Another key topic was the participation of Japanese financial institutions and companies in projects under the New Tashkent megaproject. Interest was expressed in potential cooperation involving advanced Japanese technologies.
