New Zealand appoints its new Ambassador to Uzbekistan

TASHKENT, December 9. / Dunyo IA /. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, today recieved the newly appointed Ambassador of New Zealand Mark Julian Trainor, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

"Welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador of New Zealand to Uzbekistan H.E. Mark Julian Trainor, - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. - We believe that the two countries' foreign ministries should be the driving force in developing and implementing a comprehensive agenda of mutually beneficial cooperation. Our focus was on sustainable agriculture, industrial development, green economy, business-to-business partnerships, and other promising areas. Congratulations to Mr. Ambassador".
Mark Julian Trainer has succeeded Sarah Walsh as the Ambassador of New Zealand to Uzbekistan. Sarah Walsh held the post from 2023 to 2024.
Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and New Zealand were established on March 11, 1992.
Since February 1, 2019, Uzbekistan has introduced a visa-free regime for citizens of New Zealand, allowing stays of up to 30 days.
