ROSTOV-ON-DON, October 4. /Dunyo IA/.  Diplomats of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan held a meeting with representatives of the business community of Russia’s Rostov Region, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was organized with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Rostov Region. It brought together representatives of the regional business community interested in developing cooperation with Uzbek partners and implementing joint projects.

During the meeting, participants were provided with information on Uzbekistan’s socio-economic development, investment climate, existing government support measures for investors, opportunities for localizing production, country’s export potential, as well as the advantages of operating in free economic and special trade zones.

Participants were also briefed on the current state of Uzbek-Russian trade, economic and investment cooperation, prospects for industrial cooperation, establishing direct contacts between enterprises and developing interregional business ties.

Particular attention was paid to opportunities for Russian companies to participate in international exhibitions, forums and other business events regularly held in Uzbekistan. It was noted that such platforms provide an opportunity to establish direct contacts with potential partners, explore the market and discuss specific areas of cooperation.

As part of an open dialogue, entrepreneurs received answers to their questions regarding business conditions in Uzbekistan, taxation, company registration, product certification, logistics, partner search, participation in investment projects and access to the Uzbek market.

Special attention was also given to Uzbekistan’s advantageous geographical location, opportunities to access the markets of Central Asian and neighbouring countries, development of transport and logistics infrastructure, as well as existing mechanisms to support export activities and the implementation of investment projects.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue practical efforts to develop direct contacts between the business communities of Uzbekistan and the Rostov Region. In particular, the parties preliminarily agreed to organize a business mission of representatives of the region’s business community to Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2027.
