ANKARA, October 28. /Dunyo IA/. Ahead of the 13^th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Erkan Aydın, Head of “Wittour” company and Turkish expert in pilgrimage tourism, highlighted the historical, cultural and spiritual significance of Uzbekistan for Türkiye and the entire Turkic world in a commentary for Dunyo IA.

According to the expert, Uzbekistan is an important center of science, culture, and art that must not only be studied but also visited. He drew attention to the heritage of the era of Amir Temur and the Temurids, as well as the contributions of such outstanding scholars as Ali Qushji, Imam Maturidi, and Imam Bukhari.

Erkan Aydın noted the growing interest of foreign tourists in the historical cities of Uzbekistan, particularly Khiva, which has preserved its unique historical atmosphere. He also emphasized the country's gastronomic appeal and its potential in the field of organic agriculture.

Expert expressed hope for further growth in the tourist flow from Türkiye to Uzbekistan and stressed the importance of expanding air connectivity between the two countries.
