WIESBADEN, September 6. /Dunyo IA/.  Capital of the German state of Hesse hosted the 49^th International Cultural Festival, an event that traditionally unites representatives of diverse nationalities on a single platform and fosters cultural dialogue, mutual understanding, and respect between nations, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

This major cultural event was organized by the Wiesbaden City Administration at the central Schlossplatz square. Within the framework of the festival, the national culture, music and folklore, traditional culinary arts, decorative applied crafts and customs of various nations were showcased.

Concert programs, children’s activities and information stands representing various public organizations were also arranged for the guests.

Uzbekistan was commendably represented at the festival by the “Doʻppi” Uzbek-German Cultural Society. Representatives of the society introduced the general public to the rich cultural heritage of the Uzbek people, their national values, traditions, decorative applied arts and authentic cuisine.

At the Uzbek pavilion, visitors had the opportunity to explore samples of traditional craftsmanship, national ornaments and authentic Uzbek costumes, as well as to receive comprehensive information regarding the cultural society’s activities.

Uzbek national cuisine generated exceptional interest among the guests. Visitors were offered traditional dishes and confections, which effectively demonstrated the authenticity and rich diversity of Uzbekistan’s gastronomic traditions.

Representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main extended their full support to the initiatives of the Uzbek diaspora aimed at preserving, developing, and widely popularizing the nation’s culture and traditions.

The participation of the “Doʻppi” society in the festival, held under the motto “Cultures Unite People”, provided a valuable avenue to showcase the wealth and distinctiveness of Uzbek culture to the German public, while fostering mutual respect and solidarity among representatives of diverse cultural backgrounds.

Active involvement of the Uzbek diaspora in such cultural events significantly contributes to the further familiarization of the German public with the rich historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, facilitating the preservation of national values and traditions, as well as their broad promotion abroad.
