Rome to Host the Second Italy–Uzbekistan Education Forum

ROME, February 18. /Dunyo IA/. The Second Italy–Uzbekistan Education Forum (Rectors’ Forum) will begin its work in Rome today, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event will bring together heads of education quality assurance agencies, as well as rectors, vice-rectors, and representatives of more than 30 universities from Uzbekistan, led by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of Uzbekistan, Kongratbay Sharipov.
The Italian side will be represented by the Minister of Universities and Research of Italy, Anna Maria Bernini, along with representatives of Italian universities.
As part of the forum, the results of the joint scientific projects competition between universities of the two countries will be announced, the winners will be revealed, and a new call for joint projects will be launched.
In addition, more than 20 cooperation agreements and memoranda between universities of the two countries are expected to be signed during the event.
At the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Italy, the delegation’s visit will also include a number of bilateral meetings, including with leaders of universities ranked among the top 100 globally and heads of innovation hubs.
It is worth noting that the First Italy-Uzbekistan Rectors’ Forum was held in Tashkent in September 2024. The Italian delegation at that event was led by Minister Anna Maria Bernini.
