BEIJING, March 27. /Dunyo IA/. The leading Chinese tourism journal Travel & Leisure has published an article titled "Gelon – the high-altitude pearl of Uzbekistan", reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The publication notes that Gelon is an urban-type neighborhood located in the Shahrisabz district of the Kashkadarya region. It lies on the western slope of the Pamir-Alay mountain range at an altitude of 2,600 meters above sea level.
It is mentioned that the area can be reached by a picturesque yet challenging mountain dirt road with winding turns, making the journey to this region particularly thrilling.
Special attention is given to the architecture of Gelon. The houses in the settlement are noted for their unique construction. "The narrow streets of the town center, surrounded by ancient houses, create an atmosphere of coziness and authenticity" - the publication states.
Tourists are encouraged to take hiking trips along scenic mountain trails, visit neighboring settlements such as Kul Sarchashma, and Shut, also interact with the locals to observe their way of life.
"Gelon is a blend of unique nature, rich history, and distinctive architecture. Visiting this high-mountain village will be a true discovery for adventure enthusiasts and cultural tourism seekers", - concludes Travel & Leisure.
