Construction of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan Railway in the focus of Chinese Media attention

BEIJING, August 16. /Dunyo IA/. “China” magazine has published an article on the strategic significance of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan Railway, describing the project as the “project of the century” and one of the key elements of a new transport architecture in Eurasia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the publication, the railway will create one of the shortest overland routes between East and West and strengthen Central Asia’s role in international trade. The railway is designed to have an annual freight capacity of up to 15 million tons.

For Uzbekistan, the implementation of the project opens up additional opportunities to strengthen its status as a major transit hub and expand access to the markets of South Asia, the Middle East and Europe. According to the magazine, the route will shorten the path for cargo from China to Europe and the Middle East by approximately 900 kilometers, and delivery times by 7 to 8 days.

Article also emphasizes that the significance of the project extends beyond transport infrastructure. The railway creates conditions for expanding industrial cooperation, technological partnership, and forming new production chains among the countries of Central Asia.

Publication pays special attention to the political significance of the project. According to the magazine, its implementation reflects a new level of regional cooperation based on trust, pragmatism, and mutual interest, and could contribute to strengthening the economic independence of Central Asia.
