BANGKOK, December 29. /Dunyo IA/. Kathleen Pokrud, Foreign Affairs Advisor of the magazine Elite+, has published the book Global Culinary Stories, which highlights the rich culinary heritage of Uzbekistan, reports a correspondent of Dunyo IA.

This fascinating publication introduces readers to the diverse cuisines of various countries, contributed by ambassadors from 45 foreign states to Thailand, including Uzbekistan.

In the book, Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand shared recipes for two royal dishes featured in the collection. In his welcome message, Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs Maris Sangiampongsa noted that Global Culinary Stories is a rich collection of culinary narratives and recipes reflecting the diverse cultures and histories that connect humanity. He emphasized that the universal language of food helps transcend borders and strengthen the sense of community among people.

Consul General of Uzbekistan in Bangkok, Fakhriddin Sultanov, presented the rich culinary traditions of Uzbek cuisine, which have developed over three millennia. He shared details about the preparation of iconic dishes such as Uzbek plov and samsa, offering authentic recipes that embody the essence of the nation's cultural heritage.

At the book launch ceremony, attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, public and private sectors, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan gave guests the opportunity to sample Uzbek plov, samsa, and traditional sweets, which symbolize Uzbekistan’s rich culture.

Uzbekistan's inclusion in Global Culinary Stories not only showcases its traditional dishes but also highlights the vital role of culinary arts in bridging cultural differences and fostering mutual understanding among nations.
