Turkish Journalist shares impressions of visit to Uzbekistan in “Sabah” Newspaper

ANKARA, June 9. /Dunyo IA/. One of Türkiye’s leading newspapers, “Sabah”, has published an article by the renowned journalist Yavuz Donat dedicated to his trip to Uzbekistan and his participation in the Uzbek-Turkish Media Forum held in Tashkent, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The author shared his impressions of his stay in the country, paying special attention to the historical proximity, cultural affinity, and dynamically developing relations between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.

The journalist noted the warm welcome extended to the Turkish delegation in Tashkent, emphasizing the atmosphere of hospitality and genuine brotherhood he felt from his very first moments in Uzbekistan.

The publication emphasizes that Uzbekistan and Türkiye are united by common historical roots, cultural values, linguistic proximity and spiritual heritage. According to the author, many residents of Uzbekistan speak Turkish fluently, partly due to the popularity of Turkish television series.

The author also spoke about the Uzbek-Turkish Media Forum held in Tashkent, noting its significance for strengthening cooperation between representatives of the media communities of both countries. In particular, the article reports on the establishment of cooperation between the Global Journalists Council of Türkiye and the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the Turkish journalist met with professors and students of the university and learned about their perspectives on modern Türkiye . According to him, the youth of Uzbekistan show great interest in Turkish culture, history, and education, and Istanbul remains one of the most attractive foreign cities for Uzbek students.

The publication also notes the sincere empathy of the people of Uzbekistan regarding the consequences of the devastating earthquakes that struck Turkey in February 2023. The author emphasizes that the tragedy deeply resonated in the hearts of Uzbeks, serving as further evidence of the strong humanitarian ties between the two brotherly nations.

Concluding the article, Yavuz Donat shared his plans to continue exploring the historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan by visiting Samarkand, Bukhara, and other ancient cities of the country.
