The new Consul General of Uzbekistan took up his duties in Istanbul

ISTANBUL, January 3. /«Dunyo» IA/. The new Consul General of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Abdunazarov, has taken up his duties in Istanbul, reports "Dunyo" IA correspondent.

Before that, he worked as the 1st Secretary at the same Consulate General. He is 41 years old. Graduated from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the Higher School of Analysis and Forecasting.
Since 2007, he worked in various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade (now the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Sherzod Abdunazarov replaced Amirsaid Agzamkhodzhayev, who headed the Consulate General in Istanbul in 2020–2023 and was appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Poland.
The consular district of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan includes the city of Istanbul, the regions of Turkey Aydin, Balikesir, Bilecik, Bursa, Izmir, Kozhaeli, Kirklareli, Manisa, Mugla, Sakarya, Tekirdag, Canakkale and Edirne, as well as Bulgaria and Romania.
