WASHINGTON, October 23. /Dunyo IA/.   A number of media outlets and think tanks in the United States and Canada have published articles on U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s visit to Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Published analyses place particular emphasis on attracting investment, developing critical mineral resources, advancing local industry, establishing alternative transport routes and diversifying the foreign economic ties of regional countries.

In particular, an article published by the U.S.-based “Carnegie Endowment for International Peace” highlights Washington’s growing economic interest in Central Asia.

According to the author, Jennifer B.Murtazashvili, attracting American capital, expanding trade ties and securing investment in transit infrastructure are important priorities for Central Asian countries.

At the same time, the article identifies enforceable contracts, transparent investment terms and accountable governance as decisive factors in the implementation of projects across the region.

An article entitled “Rubio’s Central Asia Pitch Is About More Than Minerals” has been published by the Canadian analytical outlet “Asia Times”. In the article, author Saima Afzal views the United States’ growing economic engagement with the region as extending beyond the expansion of raw material supplies.

Publication notes that Central Asian countries are seeking to use American investment not merely to remain exporters of raw materials, but also to develop processing industries, generate greater added value, create skilled jobs and strengthen their domestic industrial capacity.

Article also highlights the Central Asian countries’ desire to expand cooperation with new partners while maintaining their existing economic ties with Russia, China and other countries.

Author emphasises that developing the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor will require substantial financial resources, improvements to customs and border procedures, and reliable logistics services.

According to the U.S. business news outlet “EIN Presswire”, “PowerScape Global” has signed a memorandum with the Tashkent Region Administration to advance projects in Uzbekistan involving coal-to-energy conversion and fertilizer production.

Publication reports on the agreement between the US-based energy technology company and the Tashkent Region Administration.

Memorandum was signed during a meeting between Tashkent Region Governor Zoyir Mirzayev and Karl Moor, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of “PowerScape Global”. According to the publication, the agreement emerged amid the broader momentum for economic cooperation surrounding U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s visit to Central Asia and the “C5+1” ministerial meeting in Samarkand.
