Delegations of Uzbekistan and Belarus discuss issues of regulating labor migration processes and protecting the rights and interests of citizens of both countries

• 4ТАSHKENT, June 9. /Dunyo IA/. The next round of consultations on consular issues between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Belarus was held in Minsk, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Uzbek delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullaev, while the Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Yevgeny Shestakov.
Representatives of the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Belarus, and the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus also participated in the consultations.
The parties discussed current issues of cooperation in the consular sphere, the regulation of labour migration processes, the protection of the rights and interests of citizens of the two countries, as well as prospects for further improvement of the bilateral legal framework.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on expanding practical cooperation in the field of labour migration, creating favourable conditions for citizens, and joint measures aimed at ensuring effective management of migration processes.
