TASHKENT, May 12. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbekistan Energy Week – UEW 2026 kicked off in the capital today, bringing together the largest industry exhibitions and conferences of the oil and gas and energy sectors, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The 28th Uzbekistan Energy Week – UEW 2026 is taking place from May 12–14th at the CAEx Uzbekistan exhibition complex. The event is organized by the international exhibition company Iteca Exhibitions in partnership with ICA Eurasia Group and Congresses of Central Asia (CCA), with official support from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and JSC “Uzbekneftegaz”.

This year, the event brought together 580 companies and brands, more than 140 speakers and moderators, and over 1,500 delegates from 34 countries. These figures have set a record in the entire history of Uzbekistan Energy Week.

The exhibition segment includes the 28th International Exhibition “Oil & Gas Uzbekistan – OGU 2026”, the 19th International Exhibition “Energy, Energy Saving, Alternative Energy Sources – Power Uzbekistan 2026” and a specialized section titled “Green Energy Tomorrow, Central Asia – GETCA 2026”.

The business program is held under the "Uzbekistan Energy Forum" brand, themed “New Energy: Innovation, Sustainability, Regional Cooperation”. It features the International Oil and Gas Conference, the International Energy Conference, and the “Youth Energy Section” youth energy block.

The forum serves as a platform for discussing sustainable development, technological modernization, the implementation of innovations, and the expansion of international cooperation in the energy sector.

The high status of the event is confirmed by the participation of leading international companies as sponsors and partners. Among them are ACWA Power, Huawei, Masdar, Rosatom, Honeywell and other major players in the global energy market.

The international scale of the forum is reflected in the participation of national pavilions from Belarus, Germany, China, Russia and Türkiye, as well as collective stands from Italy and the Republic of Korea.

The flagship event of the week remains the “Oil & Gas Uzbekistan – OGU” International Exhibition, which dates back to 1997. The exposition features advanced technologies, equipment and engineering solutions for the oil and gas sector.

Significant attention is devoted to power engineering and renewable energy sources. Within the framework of the “Power Uzbekistan 2026” exhibition, digital solutions, energy-saving technologies, and equipment for the production, storage and transmission of electricity are being demonstrated.

A special place is occupied by the GETCA 2026 specialized section, dedicated to “green” energy-saving technologies. It showcases innovative solutions in the field of alternative energy, including solar and wind power generation.

As noted, Uzbekistan is consistently increasing its potential in the field of renewable energy. In collaboration with international companies, large-scale solar and wind power plants with a total capacity of 5.6 GW have already been commissioned in the country. The share of “green” energy in total generation has reached 30%, with plans to increase this figure to 54% by 2030.

The UEW 2026 program also includes G2B and B2B meetings, as well as the signing of agreements and memorandums of cooperation aimed at strengthening business ties and developing practical interaction between market participants.

Uzbekistan Energy Week 2026 reaffirms the country's role as one of the key energy hubs in Central Asia and an essential platform for international industry dialogue.
