KAZAN, August 10. /Dunyo IA/. An attack involving unmanned aerial vehicles on a number of facilities in the city of Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan, this morning resulted in the deaths of 13 people, while 48 others sustained injuries of varying severity, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan, seven Uzbek citizens — A.D.K., U.S.A., B.O.M., A.R.E., H.D.R., H.F.F. and I.D.F. — were among those killed. All seven resided in a hostel and worked for the construction company “Yamata”.

The Consulate General expressed its deepest condolences to the families and relatives of the deceased citizens and stated that the situation remains under its close monitoring. To clarify the circumstances of the tragic incident, the Consulate General has established the necessary contacts with relevant local authorities and investigative bodies.

Following the completion of forensic examinations and all necessary official procedures, measures will be taken to repatriate the remains of the deceased citizens to Uzbekistan.

A period of mourning has been declared in Tatarstan for those killed in the UAV attack on Nizhnekamsk.
