Portal notes that combining honey, nuts and fried dough, these sweets have become an integral part of the national culture of hospitality in a country located on the ancient Silk Road.

Among the most famous Uzbek desserts, chak-chak, halva, and nishalda stand out. The portal explains that chak-chak is made from fried dough with honey, halva consists of toasted flour, oil and nuts, while nishalda is a light dessert made from whipped egg whites with sugar and herbal extracts.
