KUWAIT CITY, October 29. /Dunyo IA/.  From October 20th to 28th of this year, a delegation comprising representatives of the leading business circles of Kuwait, Iraq, and Syria visited Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the visit, organized on the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuwait, negotiations were held with the Directorate of New Tashkent, relevant ministries and agencies, as well as local companies. The parties discussed a number of areas of investment cooperation.

In particular, at the meetings with representatives of the Syrian “Oulabi” holding, opportunities for constructing modern residential complexes on the territory of “New Tashkent” were considered. Syrian investors discussed prospects of cooperation with local construction companies “Murad Buildings” and “Hayot Group”.

At the negotiations with Kuwaiti investors, special attention was paid to the construction of a multifunctional commercial complex, creation of a private bank and the development of financial services. Specifically, at the meetings with representatives of “Euro Sky Investment” and “Noor Financial Investment Co.”, opportunities for implementing investment projects were discussed.

At the meetings with the heads of Iraqi companies “Al-Khafaji Holding Group” and “Al-Wateen & Al Razan”, prospects for cooperation in the fields of construction, real estate, and trade infrastructure, as well as the creation of a retail network for jewellery under the “Sarmed Al Khafaje” brand, were reviewed.

Following the meetings, parties agreed to thoroughly study the proposed projects and continue negotiations. Concurrently, work is underway to transform the proposals of foreign investors into concrete projects, strengthen ties with local partners and transition preliminary agreements into practical implementation.

These initiatives are of significant importance for enhancing the international investment attractiveness of “New Tashkent”, expanding trade and economic ties of Uzbekistan with Arab countries and attracting foreign direct investment into the country's economy.
