Member of the State Great Khural, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia and Co-Chair of the Mongolia–Uzbekistan Intergovernmental Commission for Cooperation Nyamtayshiryn Nomtoibayar has conveyed, through Dunyo IA, his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 35th Anniversary of the country’s Independence:

- On the occasion of the significant 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of Uzbekistan, on behalf of the Government of Mongolia and on my own behalf, I extend my warmest congratulations to the friendly people of Uzbekistan.

The peoples of Mongolia and Uzbekistan are fraternal peoples, united by a shared ancient history and cultural heritage. For many centuries, our peoples have been connected by historical ties, a common civilizational heritage, and traditions of mutual respect, trust and friendship.

Mongolia recognized the state independence of Uzbekistan on December 19, 1991, and our countries established diplomatic relations on January 25th, 1992. A notable fact in our modern history is that Mongolia was among the first five countries to establish diplomatic relations with Uzbekistan.

In recent years, thanks to mutual visits by the heads of state, relations between Mongolia and Uzbekistan have reached a historically new level, with the establishment of comprehensive partnership relations.

President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh paid a state visit to Uzbekistan in June 2024, while President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid a state visit to Mongolia in June 2025.

These were the first state visits by the leaders of our countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations. They not only elevated bilateral ties to a new level, but also opened a new chapter in realizing the advantages and potential of our countries through concrete and mutually beneficial cooperation.

As Co-Chair of the Mongolian part of the Intergovernmental Commission, I intend to work closely with our Uzbek friends to ensure the practical implementation of the agreements reached at the level of the heads of state, elevate trade and economic relations to a new level, and create new opportunities for entrepreneurs.

Our countries have considerable potential for further developing cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture, food processing, transport and logistics, industry, digital development and innovation.

Turning these opportunities into concrete programs and projects that deliver tangible benefits to citizens and businesses should become the key priority of intergovernmental cooperation.

I am confident that the fraternal friendship between Mongolia and Uzbekistan will grow stronger from generation to generation, while our comprehensive partnership will deliver tangible practical results, contributing to the development of our countries and the well-being of our peoples.

Once again, I extend my sincere congratulations on the historic 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of Uzbekistan and wish the friendly people of Uzbekistan peace and prosperity, and every family happiness, well-being and all the very best.
