Russia, U.S. and Ukraine Prepare for Talks in Abu Dhabi in Early November

KYIV, October 26. /Dunyo IA/. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia, Ukraine and the United States plan to hold technical talks in Abu Dhabi in the first half of November, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing British broadcaster “Sky News.”

Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with U.S. envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff on Friday. The two officials had previously met with President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The Ukrainian leader stressed the need to continue diplomatic efforts and involve European countries in the negotiation process.

“The plan is to meet in the first half of November, and as early as possible, of course,” he said during a video address to the U.S.-based Hudson Institute think tank.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv was ready to discuss both a comprehensive ceasefire and separate agreements covering energy infrastructure and maritime operations. He also insisted that any peace deal must provide reliable security guarantees for Ukraine and funding for its armed forces for 10 years.

Russia has also indicated its readiness to resume trilateral negotiations. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the talks would focus on security issues for Russia and Ukraine following a potential peace agreement.

The White House has not issued a separate official statement on the proposed meeting. However, U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff said contacts with Russian, Ukrainian and European representatives would continue at the technical level.
