Students of Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University will have opportunities to undertake internships in Uzbekistan and develop AI startups

MOSCOW, May 24. /Dunyo IA/. Students of Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University (NovSU) will be able to complete internships in Uzbekistan and develop AI startups, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing with the portal of “NovSU”, one of the largest state educational institutions in Russia.

The article reports that at the IT Training Center located on the grounds of the “Valday” Innovative National Scientific and Technological Center, the First Vice-Rector of “NovSU” Yuri Daneykin and the Executive Director of “School 21 Uzbekistan” Zarina Lukhmanova, signed a strategic cooperation agreement.

In accordance with the agreement, “NovSU” students can look forward to international hackathons, internships in Uzbekistan, joint educational modules on neural networks and startup support.

“Cooperation with “School 21 Uzbekistan” will contribute to training strong IT specialists and developing cooperation in workforce training for the high-tech industrial sectors of our countries”, - the publication quotes Yuri Daneykin as saying.

The publication notes that the partnership is set for five years. During this time, the parties plan to launch joint educational modules in the field of AI and professional development programs for digital specialists. Additionally, internships, practical training, exchange programs, joint hackathons, workshops and support for IT startups will be organized for the students.

The University's press service reports that, according to Zarina Lukhmanova, Uzbekistan currently has a colossal potential for growth in the IT sector, and joint efforts will help bring about a qualitative change in the level of workforce training in both countries.

“Today we have launched a very large-scale story, - Zarina Lukhmanova is quoted as saying. - Our cooperation is built on three key pillars. The first is strengthening the strategic partnership between Russia and Uzbekistan. The second is science: we plan a large volume of joint research in the field of digital technologies. And the third, most important priority, is the development of human capital”.

The recently signed agreement initiates a comprehensive roadmap, focusing on immediate action through the formation of working groups. These teams will soon launch pilot educational cohorts and organize joint hackathons, according to the report.
