PRAGUE, October 25. /Dunyo IA/. Experts from Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic held an online meeting devoted to market surveillance, product safety and combating counterfeit goods, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Meeting brought together representatives of the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation, Czech Trade Inspection Authority and Customs Administration of the Czech Republic, as well as regional inspectors from all regions of Uzbekistan.

Event was held as part of the agreements reached in July 2026 during a visit by a delegation of the Agency for Technical Regulation to Prague. Czech side presented its experience in organising market surveillance, ensuring product safety and identifying counterfeit goods.

Particular attention was paid to the powers of trade inspection and customs authorities, their cooperation and protection of intellectual property rights. Participants also examined mechanisms for identifying counterfeit products and measures to restrict their import and circulation on the market.

Following the presentations, Uzbek side received further explanations of the Czech Republic’s practical experience. The participation of regional inspectors made it possible to explore how international approaches could be applied in the work of territorial units.
