Uzbekistan and India Increase Flight Frequency and Expand Air Routes

NEW DELHI, January 12. / «Dunyo» IA/. Uzbekistan’s largest private airline, Centrum Air, announced the expansion of its flight network to India starting from the summer 2026 season, «Dunyo» IA’s correspondent reports.

From March 30, the airline will launch regular direct flights on the Tashkent–Hyderabad route, operating twice a week with Airbus A320 aircraft.

Additionally, starting March 29, Centrum Air plans to increase the number of weekly flights on the Tashkent–Delhi route to three.

In recent years, the frequency of flights between Uzbekistan and India has grown significantly. Currently, there are 17 weekly flights connecting Tashkent with Delhi, Mumbai, and Goa, operated by Uzbekistan Airways, Centrum Air, and the Indian airline IndiGo.

The increase in flight frequency and the launch of new routes will further promote trade, economic, and investment cooperation, strengthen scientific, academic, and educational exchanges, and enhance cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries.

Tourist flows are also showing steady growth. In 2025, more than 80,000 Indian travellers visited Uzbekistan. With the introduction of new flights in 2026, this number is expected to rise, taking tourism exchanges to a qualitatively new level.
