Uzbek tennis player breaks into WTA Top 100

TASHKENT, June 9. /Dunyo IA/. Maria Timofeeva, a member of Uzbekistan’s national tennis team, claimed the title at the WTA 125 tournament in Makarska, Croatia, according to a correspondent of Dunyo IA.
According to the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, Timofeeva defeated Latvian player Darja Semenistaja in the final with a convincing score of 6–2, 6–3.
Thanks to this victory, the Uzbek tennis player earned 125 ranking points and climbed 27 places in the WTA rankings, breaking into the world’s top 100 and reaching 91st position.
