In 2025, Uzbekistan welcomed a record 11.7 million foreign tourists

TASHKENT, January 18. /"Dunyo" IA/. According to preliminary data, Uzbekistan was visited by 11.7 million foreign nationals for tourism purposes in 2025, "Dunyo" IA’s correspondent reports.

The National Statistics Committee notes that this figure represents an all-time record and clearly reflects the steady growth of international interest in the country.

Compared to 2024, the number of foreign tourists increased by 3.7 million people, or 46.8 percent. This significant growth was driven by a comprehensive set of measures, including the development of tourism infrastructure, the liberalization of the visa regime, the expansion of international air connectivity, and active promotion of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential abroad.

Top 10 countries by number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan in 2025:

  • Kyrgyzstan — 3.3 million
  • Tajikistan — 2.7 million
  • Kazakhstan — 2.7 million
  • Russia — 984.4 thousand
  • Afghanistan — 476.7 thousand
  • Turkmenistan — 370 thousand
  • China — 278.9 thousand
  • Türkiye — 174.9 thousand
  • India — 80.8 thousand
  • Republic of Korea — 46.3 thousand

The growing inflow of tourists from Central Asia, the CIS, as well as Asia and the Middle East, highlights Uzbekistan’s increasing role as one of the key tourism hubs in the region.

The achieved results confirm that Uzbekistan is confidently strengthening its position on the global tourism map, transforming its rich historical and cultural heritage, modern infrastructure, and long-standing traditions of hospitality into a powerful driver of sustainable development and international cooperation.
