BELGRADE, September 30. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Budapest held a series of meetings and talks with representatives of Serbia’s government agencies, cultural, educational and sports institutions, as well as business circles, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

In particular, meetings were held with State Secretary at the Ministry of Education of Serbia Jasmin Hodžić; Assistan Minister for International Relations and European Integration of Serbia in the field of culture Stanko Blagojević; Assistant Minister of Sport Uroš Pribićević; Assitant Minister of Education Janko Samardžić; Head of the Minister’s Cabinet for Gender Equality Miodrag Pantović; Special Adviser to the Minister Nemanja Radojević; General Manager of the National Theatre Dragoljub Bajić; Vice President of the Basketball Federation Filip Sunturlić; Vice President of the Volleyball Federation Danilo Mrdja; member of the Chamber of Enforcement Agents Goran Veselinović; as well as representatives of Serbia’s business community.

During the talks, the sides discussed current issues and prospects for developing Uzbekistan-Serbia cooperation in culture, education, sports, law enforcement, gender policy and the economy.

Particular attention was paid to expanding interagency and inter-institutional cooperation, developing ties between educational and cultural institutions of the two countries, implementing joint projects, organizing cultural events and strengthening sporting ties.

The sides reaffirmed their interest in further developing mutually beneficial cooperation and continuing practical work to implement previously reached agreements.
