Documentary on Uzbek Football to Air in Kyrgyzstan Ahead of Uzbekistan–Portugal Match

BISHKEK, June 23. /Dunyo IA/. Kyrgyzstan will broadcast a documentary film about the history of Uzbek football ahead of the FIFA World Cup group-stage match between Uzbekistan and Portugal, which kicks off at 22:00 and is widely anticipated across Central Asia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The match is attracting significant attention not only in Uzbekistan but also in neighboring countries, where football interest continues to grow.
In particular, the Embassy's representatives are widely promoting the documentary film “Uzbek Football: A Story of Dreams, Patience, and Pride,” prepared by the Content Preparation Center for Mass Media under the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan.
This film, dedicated to the development of our national football team, its achievements in the international arena, and its first participation in the World Cup, will be broadcast today on the air of the National Television and Radio Company of Kyrgyzstan on the eve of the match between Uzbekistan and Portugal.
The documentary will be broadcast in the pre-match period by the National Television and Radio Corporation of Kyrgyzstan. Additional screenings are scheduled for June 24 at 13:20 and June 27 at 19:00 on the international channel TV-15.
It will also be shown in Uzbek cultural centers across Kyrgyzstan and made available to wider local audiences.
It is noted that in their opening World Cup match, Uzbekistan lost to Colombia 1–3, while Portugal drew 1–1 with the Democratic Republic of Congo.
