New projects discussed in Poland to increase tourist flow to Uzbekistan

WARSAW, October 9. /Dunyo IA/.  A meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland with the Commercial Manager of “Air Arabia” in Poland Krzysztof Steiman, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Parties reviewed opportunities for expanding interaction with airlines and promoting the tourism potential of Uzbekistan. Special attention was paid to the organization of press tours for Polish journalists and influencers using air connections via the Warsaw–Sharjah, Krakow–Sharjah and Gdansk–Sharjah routes with convenient connections to Tashkent and Namangan.

Participants noted the growing interest of Polish tourists in the cultural, historical, and Islamic heritage of Uzbekistan. The possibility of promoting Bukhara, Samarkand, and other historical sites within the framework of pilgrimage tourism was discussed separately, taking into account the presence of a Tatar diaspora in Poland numbering about 35,000 people.

Following the meeting, a number of agreements were reached. In particular, within the framework of the international tourism exhibition “ITTF Warsaw 2026”, which is scheduled for November 19–21st, 2026, it is planned to hold a side event entitled “Traveling to Uzbekistan” with the participation of representatives of major tourism and MICE agencies.

The parties also agreed to exchange experience, organize press tours for prominent Polish journalists and influencers, and explore opportunities for cooperation in the field of pilgrimage tourism.
