RIO DE JANEIRO, May 19. /Dunyo IA/.  At the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington, the first Uzbek-Brazilian Trade House was established and officially commenced its activities in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

This entity has been fully registered in accordance with local legislation and has begun operations with the status of an economic entity - a trading company under the name “Brazilian-Uzbekistan Trade House Ltd”.  All necessary legal and institutional conditions have been established for the new company, enabling it to enter into contractual relations, carry out export-import operations and actively promote Uzbek products in the Brazilian market.

Economic analysts note that the establishment of the trade house in Rio de Janeiro carries strategic significance. The metropolis is one of Brazil’s key financial, tourism, transport and logistics hubs. As a result, it opens up additional opportunities for Uzbek exporters to access not only the Brazilian market, but also the broader markets of the Southern Common Market member states - Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay - as well as other leading Latin American economies, including Peru and Colombia.

The trade house is expected to serve as a permanent platform for dialogue between the business communities of the two countries and as a reliable mechanism for providing practical support to entrepreneurs. It will assist in addressing organisational issues related to logistics, multimodal transportation, as well as the efficient use of warehousing and port infrastructure in the course of commercial operations.

In the coming days, online negotiations are planned between the founders of the trade house and the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, exporter associations and relevant sectoral organisations to discuss the launch of practical trade operations.
