SAINT PETERSBURG, September 4. /Dunyo IA/. At the initiative of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan, a fairy-tale book by renowned St. Petersburg writer Kristina Kretova, The Adventures of Nedo the Little Mouse in Uzbekistan, has been published, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The book centers on a journey by its main character, Nedo the little mouse from St. Petersburg, to Uzbekistan. The educational story incorporates themes of environmental protection and preservation of cultural heritage. The characters’ journey takes them through the region’s key historical centers, introducing young readers to the history of the Great Silk Road, as well as Uzbekistan’s national cuisine and traditions. The literary narrative is complemented by reference materials providing detailed information about the country’s history and culture, as well as the diversity of its flora and fauna.

The book has become part of the well-known You and Your Child series published by Piter. The series specializes in educational and fiction literature aimed at the comprehensive development of children and supporting parents. It includes therapeutic and fiction fairy tales, interactive guides, as well as educational materials featuring puzzles and applied psychological exercises for different age groups.

Despite the book’s recent release and relatively high price, the initial print run has already sold out, demonstrating strong demand for and relevance of the project.

The official presentation of the book will coincide with Uzbek Language Day and will be held at the M.Yu.Lermontov Children’s Library in St. Petersburg.
