Diplomats of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington, D.C., together with the Consulate General in New York and the “Vatan Global Alliance” organization, organized the presentation of the book “Millat shavkati” (“The Greatness of the Nation”), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Event was attended by heads and representatives of Uzbek diaspora organizations in the United States, compatriots residing in various states, Uzbek students and youth studying at U.S. higher educational institutions, entrepreneurs, representatives of public and non-governmental circles, as well as American experts.
During the presentation, addresses were delivered by Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States Furkat Sidikov, Member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Khusan Ermatov, Director General of the National News Agency of Uzbekistan (UzA) Abdusaid Kuchimov, Head of “Vatan Global Alliance” Ozod Soliev and other speakers.
In their speeches, the participants focused on the key ideas reflected in the book “Millat shavkati”, primarily on the substance and significance of the large-scale reforms implemented in Uzbekistan over the past decade under the Leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
It was particularly emphasized that the profound transformations taking place today in the country's economy, state and public administration system, education, science, culture, social protection, and foreign policy are the practical result of the New Uzbekistan construction strategy put forward by the Head of State.
It was noted that owing to the political will, strategic vision, and direct initiatives of the President, many achievements that were difficult to imagine even a decade ago have today become a new reality for Uzbekistan. Based on the principle “For Human Dignity”, the service of state bodies to the people, the enhancement of open dialogue with the population, support for entrepreneurship, poverty reduction, and the creation of new opportunities for youth and women have become priority areas of state policy. It was emphasized that the results of the reforms are manifested not only in economic indicators but also in the elevation of the dignity of citizens, the strengthening of their confidence in tomorrow and the growth of public engagement.
Special attention is paid in the book to the concept of creating the foundation for the Third Renaissance, put forward by the country's leadership. Within the framework of this noble goal, systematic measures are being consistently implemented in the country to develop education and science, enhance the intellectual potential of the younger generation, strengthen national identity and historical memory and deeply study and popularize the heritage of great ancestors at the international level.
In this context, Center of Islamic Civilization, established at the initiative of the President, was highlighted as one of the critical strategic projects aimed at restoring the rich scientific, spiritual, and civilizational heritage of Uzbekistan and widely presenting it to the global community. It was emphasized that this initiative stands as clear evidence that the processes of renewal in the country are being carried out in harmonious combination with national values and historical heritage.
It was also noted that as a result of the foreign policy initiatives of the Head of State, aimed at turning Central Asia into a space of peace, stability and prosperity, a fundamentally new political atmosphere has emerged in the region. In particular, the resolution of long-standing issues related to state borders with neighboring countries, the restoration of mutual trust, the expansion of trade, economic and transport links, as well as the establishment of a regular dialogue between the Heads of State, were assessed as important practical results of the new regional policy initiated by the President of Uzbekistan.
It was particularly emphasized that in recent years, the international authority of Uzbekistan and the degree of its openness to the outside world have significantly increased. This process is directly linked to the pragmatic and open foreign policy pursued by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, based on mutually beneficial cooperation, which elevates Uzbekistan's political, trade-economic, investment, educational and cultural-humanitarian ties with the United States and other leading states to a new level.
Special attention was paid to strengthening ties with compatriots residing abroad, particularly with the youth. It was noted that in the policy of New Uzbekistan, compatriots living abroad are viewed as an important intellectual and social resource capable of making a worthy contribution to the country's development. Strengthening their bonds with the Motherland is one of the priority tasks defined by the leadership of the country.
A practical result of the event was the signing of a Memorandum between the National News Agency of Uzbekistan and the “Vatan Global Alliance”, aimed at developing cooperation in the informational and public spheres. It was noted that this document creates additional opportunities for conveying objective and comprehensive information to the American public about the renewal processes taking place in Uzbekistan, as well as for intensifying information exchange with compatriots residing abroad.
For his special contribution to strengthening friendship between nations and developing ties with compatriots, the Head of “Vatan Global Alliance” Ozod Soliev was awarded the “Xalqlar doʻstligi” (“Friendship of Peoples”) badge.
Event contributed to conveying to the foreign audience the substance and essence of the historical transformations and irreversible reforms being carried out in New Uzbekistan under the leadership of the President of the country, widely popularizing the Head of State's initiatives aimed at creating the foundation for the Third Renaissance, elevating human dignity and strengthening the atmosphere of good-neighborliness in Central Asia, further reinforcing ties with compatriots in the United States, as well as expanding cooperation with American public and expert circles.
