TASHKENT, September 8. /Dunyo IA/. The 17^th Central Asian International Textile Machinery Exhibition – CAITME 2026 opened today at the “Uzexpocentre” National Exhibition Company in Tashkent and will run through September 10^th, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

More than 250 companies and brands from 18 countries are participating in the exhibition, including China, Türkiye, Germany, Italy, India, Austria, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Switzerland, Japan and other countries. International participants account for 83 percent of the total.

Exhibition, which occupies all pavilions of “Uzexpocentre” NEC, features spinning, weaving and knitting technologies, garment manufacturing equipment, as well as solutions for textile finishing, dyeing and printing, and textile chemicals and dyes.

One of the key themes of CAITME 2026 is advanced technologies for automating textile production, enhancing efficiency and promoting environmental sustainability. Particular attention is being paid to the “smart” recycling of textile waste and the adoption of circular economy principles.

As part of the exhibition, leading textile machinery manufacturers from Europe and Asia are showcasing innovative solutions to modernize production facilities, reduce operating costs, use resources more efficiently and enhance the competitiveness of textile products.

According to the organizers, foreign investment attracted to Uzbekistan’s textile industry amounted to $2.1 billion in 2025.

CAITME 2026 is being held as part of Global Textile Days. The program also includes B2B meetings on the TextileExpo Uzbekistan Sourcing Hub platform, scheduled for September 9, bringing together manufacturers, buyers, importers, distributors, retail chains and e-commerce representatives.

For many years, CAITME has remained one of Central Asia’s largest specialized platforms, contributing to the introduction of advanced technologies, attraction of investment and development of new business partnerships in the region’s textile and garment industries.
