Tashkent hosts Uzbek–Chinese Investment Forum

• 8TASHKENT, June 9. /Dunyo IA/. An Uzbek–Chinese Investment Forum was held in Tashkent with the facilitation of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai and the Chinese law firm Shanghai Landing Law Offices, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Founded in 2009, “Shanghai Landing Law Offices” is one of the largest law firms in China, operating 35 offices across the country and representative offices in 25 countries worldwide, with more than 2,000 legal professionals. The firm specializes in legal services in investment, insurance, maritime law, intellectual property, capital markets, construction, and real estate.
The Chinese delegation included representatives of Shanghai Landing Law Offices, the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the East China University of Political Science and Law.
The forum served as an effective platform for identifying mutually beneficial areas of cooperation between business communities of the two countries. Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent delivered welcoming remarks.
Yu Xiaohao, Vice President of the East China University of Political Science and Law, noted that Uzbekistan is currently undergoing large-scale reforms and economic transformation, actively attracting foreign investment for infrastructure modernization and industrial development. He added that Chinese businesses possess significant financial resources, advanced technologies, and extensive experience in implementing major projects.
Wang Zhang, Deputy Director of Shanghai Landing Law Offices, stated that the company is ready to act as a reliable guide and legal guarantor for Chinese investors in Uzbekistan, helping them adapt to local legislation, minimize risks, and establish trustworthy partnerships.
The forum highlighted a new model of international cooperation, in which private legal firms play an increasingly important role as drivers of economic diplomacy.
