TASHKENT, June 9. /Dunyo IA/. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Mirvokhid Azimov met with Siti Ruhaini Dzuhayatin, the Ambassador of Indonesia to our country, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the MFA of Uzbekistan, during the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospective directions of multifaceted Uzbekistan–Indonesia cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the preparation of upcoming events. It was emphasized that their agenda should be enriched with concrete projects and documents aimed at elevating bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.

The sides outlined concrete measures to increase mutual trade, diversify the structure of exports and imports, and remove existing barriers. Opportunities for attracting Indonesian investment into the chemical, pharmaceutical, and agricultural sectors were also considered.

Tourism, particularly “ziyarat tourism,” was highlighted as one of the most dynamically developing areas of cooperation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the firm commitment of Tashkent and Jakarta to further deepen cooperation across all areas of the bilateral agenda was reaffirmed.
