TASHKENT, October 25. /IA "Dunyo"/. On the second day of his trip to the Kashkadarya region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited a number of enterprises in the small industrial zone "Qavali" in the city of Karshi, a "Dunyo" information agency correspondent reports.

According to the press service of the head of our state, the area of the industrial zone is six hectares. Thanks to a well-organized engineering infrastructure and convenient access to transport communications, production here is developing dynamically.

Currently, the industrial zone hosts 11 projects for the production of building materials, furniture, textiles, pharmaceuticals and leather products. Four of them have already been launched and produce import-substituting goods.

The head of our state got acquainted with the process of their work and product samples.

The "Pegas" enterprise established metal processing and production of varnishes and paints, doors and textiles. The cost of this project is more than 13 billion soums, 150 new jobs have been created here. The company's products are in high demand in the domestic market. At the next stage, the production of other materials in demand in construction will be launched. As a result, many new jobs will be created.

The private enterprise "1-son kompleks loyiha qurilish-montaj" also specializes in building materials. This project with a total cost of 18.5 billion soums has an annual production capacity of about 2 million square meters of corrugated sheets and 250 thousand square meters of sandwich panels. Currently, the company employs 45 people. In the future, it is planned to increase the number of jobs by increasing production volumes.

The "Karshi W and D Factory" produces 50 types of doors, upholstered and hard furniture. 8.5 billion soums were invested in the project, modern technologies from Germany, Turkey and China were involved. The company created 26 new jobs.

Another seven investment projects are being implemented in the industrial zone. Their launch will employ another 725 people.

Here the President examined modern buses and minibuses imported from China. Entrepreneur Narzullo Namozov reported high demand for 60-seater buses. 30 of these were delivered to Kashkadarya, a hundred are planned to be delivered in total. In the future, buses will begin to operate on the Karshi-Shahrisabz and Karshi-Kitab routes.

The head of state also spoke with artisan-entrepreneur Dilor Kuvvatova. This woman, who worked abroad for many years, returned to our country after learning about the opportunities created for entrepreneurs. Today, bed linen, blankets and other products made by her company are popular in the region.

Dilorom Kuvvatova said that she is satisfied with the created business climate and intends to increase the number of jobs to 300 in the future.

A presentation of investment projects that are planned to be implemented in 2024 in Kashkadarya was also held here. In particular, 36 large projects worth $4 billion and 114 regional projects worth $656 million have been formed with the attraction of foreign direct investment and loans. We are talking about the oil and gas, chemical, textile, leather and footwear and construction industries, mainly localizing production and resolving problems in processing raw materials.
