ТАSHKENT, October 19. /Dunyo IA/.  Today, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Rafael Santana, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of “Wabtec”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, the sides discussed renewing and expanding the locomotive fleet, taking into account the development of the country’s railway infrastructure and transit potential.

Meeting also covered the supply of locomotives with long-term servicing, with the participation of U.S. financial institutions. The sides discussed establishing maintenance services and component production in Uzbekistan, as well as personnel training.

They also addressed the establishment of a service center for mining equipment used by the country’s mining enterprises and cooperation on diesel generator sets.
