A Memorandum of Understanding on creating an Azerbaijani-Uzbek investment fund was signed in Baku

TASHKENT, December 26. /“Dunyo” IA/. Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev held talks with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to Uzbekistan MIFT, a broad agenda of bilateral cooperation in trade-economic, investment, transport and logistics was considered during the talks. The current state and prospects for the development of mutual trade were discussed.

The parties agreed to take measures to form a nomenclature and increase mutual supplies of demanded products, conduct regular trade and business missions, exhibitions of national products in large cities on a mutual basis, conclude long-term trade contracts for the mutual supply of fruit and vegetable, food, textile, leather and footwear products to the trading networks of the two countries.

The participants focused on measures to expand joint ventures, including the production of cars, jewelry and light industry products.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding on creating a joint investment fund. As was emphasized, this fund will contribute to the further strengthening and expansion of bilateral economic collaboration and the development of industrial cooperation.
