TASHKENT, November 9. /“Dunyo” IA/. The Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe (OSCE) held an international online scientific conference on “Modern military conflicts and ways to prevent them”, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent with reference to UzA.
The conference was attended by representatives of international organizations, including SCO, NATO, International Committee of the Red Cross, experts from George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies and leading foreign education institutions of the United States, Russia, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, India, Italy, the Republic of Korea, Pakistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The policy of deepening all-round mutually beneficial cooperation with countries of the near and far abroad, including in defense and security issues, conducted under the leadership of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was discussed at the event. Participants considered trends in formation of modern security challenges and threats, and specifics of the current military conflicts.
Uzbekistan representatives highlighted priority tasks in improving the combat capability of the Armed Forces, strengthening their material-technical base, providing modern weapons, and improving the training of military personnel.
Foreign military experts noted the increased international activity of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan to exchange best practices, knowledge and skills with partner higher military education institutions and analytical centers around the world. They shared their experience in studying the content of modern military conflicts, as well as suggestions for effective mechanisms to counter hybrid threats.
