DELHI, April 12. /“Dunyo” IA/. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India Dilshod Akhatov has met with the Minister of Tourism of Gujarat, Jawahar Chavda, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The huge tourism potential of the regions of Uzbekistan and the state of Gujarat was emphasized. An agreement was reached on establishing direct cooperation between travel companies. In this regard, the Minister of Tourism of the state proposed to organize, after the stabilization of the epidemiological situation, mutual tours for the leading travel companies of the parties and the media.
In turn, the Indian side studied the possibilities of establishing cooperation with Samarkand International University of Tourism, Andijan College of Tourism and Service and leading higher education institutions in tourism in the state of Gujarat.
The parties discussed a calendar of major cultural events organized in Uzbekistan and Gujarat during the year, and the participation of representatives of the parties to enhance mutual cultural ties.
