Ambassador of Uzbekistan visits Florence

ROME, March 3. /“Dunyo” IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Otabek Akbarov visited Italy’s Florence city (Tuscany region), reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Meetings were held with the Prefect of Florence Alessandra Guidi, the Deputy Mayor of the city for Culture Tommaso Sacchi, and other officials.

The parties spoke in favor of stepping up joint work on the implementation of the provisions of the 2012 Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation between the administration of Florence and the Hokimiyat of Samarkand city.

Agreements were also reached on enhancing economic cooperation, assisting the Italian side in establishing contacts with leading manufacturers operating in the region, as well as educational institutions in design and fashion.

The Italian side confirmed the interest of the representatives of Confindustria Firenze in the development of trade and investment cooperation, readiness to exchange experience and new technologies.
