Chairperson of the Senate receives the delegation of the Asian Cycling Confederation

TASHKENT, May 6. /“Dunyo” IA/. Chairperson of Uzbekistan Cycling Federation, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva received the President of the Asian Cycling Confederation Osama Ahmed Abdullah Al Shafar, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the upper house of parliament, the parties discussed such issues as further development of cycling in Uzbekistan, especially the wide involvement of young people and women in this sport and thereby the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, the implementation of long-term plans together with the Asian Cycling Confederation.

In turn, Osama Ahmed Abdullah Al Shafar highly appreciated the work being carried out in Uzbekistan to develop cycling and the conditions created for athletes.

At the meeting, the guests made proposals on organizing competitions in Uzbekistan in road, mountain, track cycling, and Asian championships.

At the meeting, the parties agreed to further develop cooperation with Uzbekistan on such priority issues as strengthening the material and technical base of the national cycling team, using its potential by attracting foreign coaches, and thoroughly preparing athletes for future major competitions.
