Constitutional reforms in Uzbekistan discussed with the American business community

WASHINGTON, July 21. /“Dunyo” IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan, together with the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC), held a briefing to convey to representatives of the American business community the essence and content of the Constitutional reform in Uzbekistan, its role in further deepening democratic reforms in the country, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.


The event was attended by representatives of American companies representing the automotive, aerospace, agricultural, medical, pharmaceutical and other fields.

Ambassador Javlon Vakhabov informed about the relevance of the constitutional reform, revealed the content of the proposed amendments and additions, as well as their significance in further developing the country.

The main attention of American businessmen and investors was drawn to the fact that constitutional reforms are of great importance for further socio-economic development of the country, strengthening the rights and protecting private property, and creating more freedom and opportunities for doing business and entrepreneurship.

Following the meeting, the majority of participants expressed their strong support for the ongoing reforms in the country.
