TASHKENT, May 13. /“Dunyo” IA/. Delhi hosted a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov and the leadership of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties discussed the current issues of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation.
Views were exchanged on the possibilities for further development of cooperation in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, ICT, processing, storage and packaging of agricultural products, including fruits and vegetables, the creation of modern textile clusters for the processing of cotton fiber, the production of branded textile products, export-oriented production of silk products, fabrics, shoes and other leather products.
An agreement was reached to study the structure of mutual trade to identify specific commodity items that are promising in terms of increasing mutual deliveries of products that are in demand in the markets of both countries.
The parties expressed their readiness for interaction to remove existing trade barriers and create favorable conditions for enhancing bilateral trade.
