Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan met with the UNHCR Regional Representative for Central Asia

TASHKENT, March 17. /“Dunyo” IA/. Today, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov met with the Regional Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for Central Asia Hans Schodder, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Uzbekistan MFA, the parties discussed cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UNHCR in areas of common interest. The sides expressed mutual readiness to continue close cooperation in providing humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people, in particular, through the International Multifunctional Transport and Logistics Hub in Termez.

The UNHCR representative expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan for the conditions created and regular assistance in the delivery of humanitarian cargo not only to Afghanistan, but also to other countries of the world.
