TASHKENT, May 7. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, Tashkent hosted the 77th meeting of the Executive Board of the Olympic Council of Asia, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The meeting is attended by the Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan on Youth, Science, Education, Health, Culture and Sports Abdujabar Abduvakhitov, Minister of Sports Development Adkham Ikramov, the leadership of the National Olympic Committee, leaders and representatives of the International Olympic Committee and OCA member countries.
Acting President of the Olympic Council of Asia Raja Randhir Singh is attending the event.
At the meeting, it was decided to postpone the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, which were to be held on 10-25 September 2022, due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, to an indefinite date.
In addition, the OCA also studied the situation of the 3rd Asian Youth Games, which were scheduled for December 20-28 this year in Shantou, China. Since the Asian Youth Games have already been postponed once, the Shantou 2021 Asian Youth Games will be cancelled. Therefore, the next Asian Youth Games will be held in 2025 in Tashkent.
At the meeting, a draft presentation of the preparation for the IV Asian Youth Games Tashkent 2025 was held.
