TASHKENT, April 13. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, the International Institute for Central Asia hosted a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Uzbekistan Ms. Aurelia Bouchez, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The guest was informed in detail about the goals of establishing the Institute, and the main areas of activities carried out by IICA.
The Ambassador, in turn, highly appreciated the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan in the political, socio-economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. Ms. Aurelia Bouchez also noted the positive changes taking place in the Central Asian region in recent years, thanks to the open and constructive foreign policy of Tashkent, which creates favorable conditions for the development of multifaceted cooperation with foreign countries.
The parties also discussed issues of establishing a partnership between the IICA and the leading French expert and analytical centers specializing in Central Asian studies.
An agreement was reached to maintain a regular dialogue to further promote the strengthening of scientific and academic cooperation between Uzbekistan and France.
