ISRS: Expert of Uzbekistan and Germany discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation


TASHKENT, April 23. /“Dunyo” IA/. On April 20, ISRS hosted a meeting with the Regional Director/Resident Representative for Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), Christoph Mohr, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany, as well as discussed the joint action plan for 2021 between ISRS and the Foundation.

The participants focused on the positive trends emerging in the Central Asian region. It was stated that thanks to the good-neighborly policy of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, issues of water use, delimitation and demarcation of state borders between Uzbekistan and neighboring countries, the use of transport communications and border crossing are being resolved. The emerging trend contributes to the fruitful and effective cooperation of regional countries in trade-economic issues, allows building up and implementing promising transport-logistics projects that are the driver of economic prosperity for the entire region.

The main attention was paid to the discussion of cooperation between ISRS and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The parties expressed interest in continuing effective cooperation on a wide range of issues of mutual interest. It was stressed that the joint activities contribute to the implementation of reforms and transformations in the country, as well as to strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and Germany.

Following the event, the parties agreed to develop a Joint Action Plan for the near future.
