Issues of grant assistance for the implementation of projects of the Tashkent Medical Academy were discussed in South Korea

SEOUL, December 14. /“Dunyo” IA/. Memorandums of understanding and cooperation between medical educational institutions of Uzbekistan and South Korea were signed in Seoul, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

During the visit of Uzbekistan delegation, led by TMA Rector Alisher Shodmonov to the Republic of Korea, talks were held with Busan and Seoul National Universities’ hospitals leadership, the Center for Global Health Strategy of Korea University, Asan Medical Center, as well as several other clinics.

In addition to agreements on strengthening cooperation in medical education, the participation of professors of Korean universities as foreign TMA teachers, reviewing published scientific journals, attracting South Korean specialists to advise on obtaining JCI international accreditation by the Academy, the parties agreed to implement joint research projects on a comparative study of the effectiveness of various types of coronavirus vaccines in Uzbekistan and South Korea, experimental study of the effect of certain pharmacological drugs on animals, as well as other relevant biomedical research.

Relevant memorandums of understanding and cooperation were signed following the event.
